Three Angels gone but not forgotten

I am heartbroken over the deaths of three children whose lives were senselessly snuffed out but who also left this earth in a blaze of glory! Nine year-old Abigail Reid, eighteen year old  Bebeto Harris and fifteen year old Leonardo Morris are gone but surely will be remembered as symbols of hope amid tribulation.

Although  they were from one of Kingston's toughest neighbourhoods - a  place where   only the fittest of the fittest survive several socio-economic and spiritual battles - they were exemplary children both  at school and at home.

The man implicated in this heinous crime was a mentally ill relative whom I  happened to know and who attempted to hurt me two days prior to the tragedy he allegedly created.

He had  started acting up as he was out of medication. He became uncontrollable and efforts by a colleague to secure treatment for him was in vain. He gave another colleague a very hard time as he went up to her face and boldly threatened: "Me mus kill yu."

The last time I saw him he was near my desk with a large piece of board and with a ghastly look on his face, In the midst of his action his face suddenly did a bit of shapeshifting and he looked calmer. By then the security guards had arrived and he put up a powerful resistance.  They  wrestled with him before chasing him off the compound and I ran behind them shouting:
"you  should not let him go like that he is going to kill somebody.. call the police..  I  watched him as he ran down the road with his weapon in his hand, And I was very sad that he had gotten away without being either being treated or taken into custody by the police..

Before the news even hit the airwaves, my colleague had heard ... at work she could not be consoled...  she cried her heart and soul out,,  I am still in mourning.
I cannot say much but God knows everything,
May the Great Deliverer hold his angels dear to his bosom until that great getting up morning!
