Are you qualified to love?

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

(1 John 4:8)

There has never been a shortage of  speeches, songs and constant exhortations espousing  the value and importance of love, but bigotry and hate continue to take centrestage. 

We are sometimes moved by these powerful songs and speeches but if they are not recommending that the hearers be  redeemed, processed and qualified for this seemingly simple task, then they are basically useless. 

It is in vain that you ask someone to do something he knows nothing about. A butcher would never be asked to perform the duties of a surgeon, neither a tinker the duties of a jeweler. So it is with the profession of love. 

Yeshuah the Christ is the only true example of love and asks us to come to Him in order to be properly processed and qualified in order to truly demonstrate the love He wants to impart to our darkened minds and souls. 

The world is dying and in need of the rich love of Jesus Christ but until man acknowledges that he cannot do this properly without the directions and enlightenment from the one true Source, then his understanding remains darkened.

Even now as I write, I am still being processed because the call to love is one of selflessness and there is a part of me that refuses to submit. I want to love like Jesus does and I need Him to continue purifying me for this purpose. How about you? 

Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. With thanksgiving I'll be a living sanctuary for you.
